FAQs

  • Can we try it before we commit?

    Many Microsoft licenses are available on a Monthly subscription. Whilst this is more expensive, it does allow more flexibility than an Annual commitment whereby licenses are committed to for the year, but paid for monthly.

  • Tell me more about NCE

    NCE, or “New Customer Experience” is something of a Microsoft rethink as to how their licensing model should work. When it was introduced, it heralded the end of penalty-free Monthly licensing, meaning clients would need to commit to Annual subscriptions to maintain their pricing.

    We generally advise our clients to start with as low a tier of licensing as possible since Microsoft might not allow cancellations in the subscription period, but they do allow upgrades to higher tiers of product.

    However, Nemark has built a lot of experience in navigating this minefield and we are highly pro-active in ensuring that our clients get the best out of their investment. Please do not hesitate to ask us how we can bring this experience to bear for you!

  • Do I have to upgrade Office under Subscription?

    No. When you have a Microsoft Office 365 subscription, it is always on the latest version.

  • We have already got Microsoft Office, bought outright. Can we use this?

    If it’s a relatively recent version, yes! Nemark are able to offer more basic licenses that offer Email-Only rights as opposed to “Email and Office”. As long as your version of Outlook is recent enough to work with Exchange Online (Microsoft’s email platform) then this will work well for you, and at a lower cost.

  • Will you help us rationalise our email?

    Yes! A key part of managing 365 tenancies is to review your current email layout to ensure you have everything you need, and nothing more. Key elements here are;

    • Using email-only licenses for users with pre-purchased Office, or who only access their email via their phone
    • Using FREE Shared Mailboxes for email addresses that do not need to be directly accessed in Outlook but rather, that are referred to by other users who have their own licensed mailbox.
    • Using email aliases rather than separate mailboxes where possible, as these are also free.
    • Cut out unused mailboxes
