Problem

A firm (later to become a valued client) approached us with a banking trojan on one of their machines which was subverting their security and compromising Network performance and integrity. The infection had spread across the entire Network of circa 50x PC’s by the time we were called.

Solution

The solution can be summed up in one word; Sophos. They’re not the cheapest, but they’re definitely the best. We installed the Sophos Cloud agent on all PC’s and Servers, leaving the entire Network manageable via a web-based Central Admin Console. From here we could isolate threats, protect files, kill existing infections and set up advanced warning systems to lock down new threats before damage could be done.

Outcome

The trojan event was not a happy time for the client and they did actually suffer quite a lot of downtime whilst the infection was running rampant through their systems but following Nemark’s introduction of the Sophos system, virus activity quickly died out and there haven’t been any further breaches in the last 6 months. The client is now safely under the protection of Nemark’s IT Support services and in turn, Sophos Cloud Care to provide a highly resilient defence against an ever-evolving enemy in the form of cyber attack.

Nemark perform routine checks, too, to ensure that all is well and that the Network remains safe. We do not believe in resting on our laurels because would-be hackers don’t rest either!
